BFTE Fall collection swatches!

One of my favorite indie companies BFTE came out with their Fall Collection and boy is it gorgeous! The colors swatched like butter and seriously had me drooling while doing them. The set consists of 4 full size shadow for $20 and shipping is a flat rate $4. There were only 100 made and the last count I saw said there were about 40 left, so hop on over and snatch yours up ASAP,you won't be disappointed.

The cute little box the shadows came in, they also came with a bag of Teddy Grahams but the honey are my fav and I ate them before taking pics. lol

I love the new lids they decided to go with a few months ago.

Each shadow clearly labeled with the ingredients

L-R Sassafras, Silver Maple, Sweet Gum and Sycamore

Sassafras and Sweet Gum are my favs, but they are all BEYOND gorgeous!

These were so easy to swatch, one swipe and they were perfectly opaque.

If you love beautiful fall colors, fantastic customer service and colors that blend like butter, then you should definitely get this set.

*Swatches done over Concrete Minerals Electric eye primer

Hope you all have a lovely Wednesday and until next time:

*Collection was purchased by me with my own $ and thoughts are purely my own.

My kinda sorta Hulk look

Last night I was getting ready to go out and I decided to play with my Concrete Minerals Pro matte shadows. As I was going along I figured I would snap a few pics of the process and do a sort of picture tutorial, it wasn't until after that I realized the colors I chose were 'Hulkish". Hulkish or not, I really liked the look and I hope you do too. :)

I didn't take a pic of this, but I primed my eye with GDE Control Freak primer and then covered my whole eye with Tick:Tock's Infinity base in Milky Way

Pat on Concrete Minerals' Pro Matte shadow in Toxic all over the lid

Then take BFTE's shadow in Black on the outer lid and up into crease blending with Toxic

The add CM's Pro Matte shadow in Ravage and blend that into the crease with Black and also blend it into the outer corner and somewhat into Toxic. Then add Tako by Sugarpill as the highlight color.

Fill in your brows and line your eyes

Here is the finished product eyes closed and after adding mascara

Jeepers, I need foundation! lol

Full face, lips are MAC lipstick in Style Curve

VOILA!
I hope you enjoyed this little tutorial and I think that I will do some more in the future!

FOTD 7/21

So on Saturday, I went with my friend Amy to see Static-X and boy did we have fun! There were 4 opening bands that night and each one rocked my socks, two in particular by the names of 9Electric and Davey Suicide. Both of these bands totally rocked the house and had my friend and I thoroughly impressed with their performance and overall stage presence. We got to hang with Ron the 9E singer for a bit after their set and after Static-X's and he is a pretty cool dude I must say. Static-X completely rocked us with an awesome show and when we left the venue it was with huge smiles and good memories. Now that my little show review is done, I shall get on to my look for the show. I had wanted to do something more dramatic, but I didn't have a lot of time to get ready due to going over on my nap and my nieces and nephew coming over for a bit so I went for one of my go to looks and was pretty happy with it despite fudging my liner. On to the pics!

*Note:  My face looks a bit white because I took this right after being done and my setting powder wasn't fully absorbed yet. I have noticed that in pictures unless I let my natural oils come up a bit first that my face looks a bit white when flash is used. :/

Products used:

Lid: Moi Minerals shadow in Diego
Highlight: BFTE shadow in Beautiful
Lower lashiline: BFTE Pro shadow in Nekkar
Eyeliner: Urban Decay 24/7 pencil in Perversion
Mascara: Maybelline Colossal lash mascara in Black
Foundation: Lorac Natural Performance in #7
Blush: BFTE blush in Georgia Peach
Brows: Urban Decay shadow in Hustle
Lips: Moi Minerals lipstick in Don't Tell with Moi lip gloss in Aphrodisiac over it

I hope you all have a lovely day and as always:

BFTE Swatches!

I had not ordered from BFTE in some time and decided to get this past week's COTW which was a new duochrome by the name of Splash. The COTW (color of the week) is a full size eye shadow and 3 samples for $6 that will come out to a flat $10 once shipping is added in. You can either get shadow, foundation or blush as your sample choices, I chose blushes. I also added a limited color called Winter Wonderland to my order, this color had been a part of the Christmas collection that I missed out on.

Top to bottom: Winter Wonderland, Splash (no base) and Splash over black base (used flash)

Left to Right: Pinked, Destiny and Doll Face

Both shadows are absolutely stunning and I can't wait to play with them! Of the blushes I think I will get the most use out of Destiny and Pinked though I like them all. Have you tried BFTE? If so what is your favorite color?

Hope you all have a lovely Wednesday and as always,

Beauty From the Earth Review

When BFTE introduced their blogger review sets the other day I jumped on it! They had several sets to choose from where you got 3 full size shadows and 3 sample bags for $12, I chose the matte set since I realized recently my collection is seriously deprived of matte shadows. Shipping as always was super fast and I had my package within 3 days of ordering the set. I even got a call from Crystal to make sure I didn't already have the colors she was thinking of sending me which was just another reason to add on my really long list of reasons why I love BFTE in the first place! All the colors I received I am really glad to now own and I can honestly say I have never felt disappointed in this company. I have been ordering for almost 2 years now and had a slight mix up one time and it was fixed quickly and professionally. Sadly, I haven't had time to really play with them and do a look with the new colors I received, but that will come soon and when it does I shall post. Now onto the swatches! :)

L-R Patriot, Grassy, Pride

Pride: A matte kinda lavender color. Blended nicely and was pretty smooth.

Patriot: A matte dark blue, almost looks Navy in the pot (my camera made it look lighter. :/) Also blended well and I think it was my fav of the bunch.

Grassy: A matte grass green color. Pigmented and blended well

Grassy

Patriot (for some reason this looks kinda purpley in the pic, I couldn't get my lame camera to get a good pic of it. ) :(

Pride

Top left: Pride Top right: Patriot Bottom: Grassy. (all swatches done on clean dry skin with no primer or anything)

Sample 1: Stunning. This name of this color is perfect a this really is a stunning shade of pink. I have had this color awhile and it is one of my favorite pinks in my collection! Very pigmented and easy to blend.

Sample 2: Paradise. This is a beautiful frosty blue, looks kinda silver on my skin but I assure you  it is just my camera. Can't wait to play with this one more!

Sample 3: Canyon. I love this color and it will definitely be in my next order! Would be great for brightening the inner corner of your eye, as a highlight or for a day when you just want a light wash of color. It's a beigey color with some gold shimmer to it!

Top left, Stunning. Top right, Paradise. Bottom: Canyon. Again, all swatches done on clean, dry skin with no primer or anything.

I forgot to mention up top that they came wrapped in black tissue paper and together in a little white bag. Also for those of you wondering, they always come with sealed sifters and the ingredients are listed on the bottom of the jar and are labeled as what they can and can not be used for. I HIGHLY recommend BFTE to anyone, they have excellent customer service and a huge array of colors to suit anyone's tastes. You definitely won't be disappointed if you do!

I hope all you guys and gals have a wonderful Monday!

Naomi
