Madd Style Halloween swatches

These are SO late it isn't even funny and for that I am sorry, I've been on a bit of a stricter budget and haven't been purchasing nearly as much as I was, there are also a few personal things going on keeping me from blogging. Anywho, on to the swatches of this incredibly lovely collection by the lovely Mo at Madd Style Cosmetics, these were from the Halloween grab bag that sold out crazy fast. There were two other Halloween collections as well, the Alice in Zombie Land and Shaun of the Dead collections, when I get those I shall post here as well. :)

I love these shades and can see myself pulling them out quite often! I have a feeling The Bride will make an awesome liner and Frankenberry hasn't left my dresser since I got it because it is full of awesome. I hope you guys have a wonderful rest of your weekend.

Custom He-Man and She-Ra collection!

Awhile back I went to the lovely Holly over at Moi Minerals and asked her if she could work her magic on a He-Man and She-ra inspired set for me, much to my happiness she agreed! I had a SUPER hard time narrowing down which characters I wanted the colors modeled by as between the series there are tons of great choices. I finally settled on He-Man, She-ra, Hordak, Evil-lyn, Battle Cat, Swiftwind, Skeletor and The sorceress of Grey Skull. I am super tempted to ask her again to do some inspired by Man-at-arms, Teela, Orko and a few others, but we shall see about that. lol. I am really pleased with this collection and was happy and surprised to find she added in a tube of Hubba Hubba lip balm to the mix.Thank you Holly! ♥

She-ra: white with gold and red flecks
Swiftwind: orange with blue,pink and silver flecks
He-man: yellow /orange with blue and red
Battlecat: green with orange,red and yellow
Skeletor : Med. Blue with purple and gold
Evil-lyn: purple with blue and black
The Sorceress:  silvery white/blue with orange and blue sparkle
Hordak: black with red,blue and silver

I am in love with these colors, they are so fun and exactly what I wanted! I can't wait to use them in looks and really play with them. Thank you so much to Holly for doing this for me as well, you are THE BEST! :)

Happy Halloween from Moi Minerals!

Moi Minerals put out their Halloween Collection recently and I snagged one up pretty much as soon as it went on sale! I really like how Holly offers a wide variety of options with her collections and this one is no exception. You can either purchase each shadow individually or in a set in full or sample sizes.

Prices in USD:
Sample size set: $ 8.00
Full Size set: $ 19.00
Single shadow deluxe sample size: $ 2.25
Single shadow in full size: $ 6.00

There were also 3 lip glosses released for Halloween that I was unable to order with the shadows, but plan on getting soon. Their names are Elvira ($3.75) , Rose Mary ($3.75) and Bloody Mary ($4.75) and come in 3.5ml gloss tubes with doe foot applicators. Once I get those I will do a post on them.

I LOVE these colors and can not wait to get the glosses! Of the 4 I think Ichabod and Overlook Hotel are my favorites, but they are all wonderful. This is a wonderful collection and Holly did a great job with it, I'm glad to have these colors in my collection. ♥

MOI Minerals Men of the big screen collection!

I got home last night after sitting in traffic for well over an hour in the rain trying to get home after work, needless to say I was kinda disgruntled when by the time I got home. All that aggravation went straight out the window when I saw that I had MOI mail! I had been really excited about this collection because I love movies and the men that star in them. The collection consists of 4 eye shadows named after different movie hunks, Johnny Depp, Jason Statham, Nicolas Cage and Timothy Olyphant. Of those 4, Johnny Depp and Jason Statham make me girl giggle. lol. All the colors swatched well, Statham being the least smooth but not a pain in the bum to do by any means, just not as smooth as the others. Holly did a great job with this collection and I am so glad to be able to add it to my ever growing MOI collection. :)

It is really hard to narrow down any favs of the bunch since I love them all, I will say though that I am very excited to use Olyphant and Depp. The MOI shop is closed right now while Holly recuperates from surgery, but I will be sure to post on my FB page when it is back up. MOI makes some of my favorite products and Holly is an absolute doll, you should definitely check them out if you have not already!

MOI Minerals haul

I got my shadows from my grab bag purchase the other day and was really excited over the colors that were included in my bag since I didn't have any of them except Mercy, but that color is so gorgeous I don't mind having two. lol I also got another package of the Metal Mania lip glosses, but those will be in another post. I mention them since they are in one of the pics I took. I got a nice range of colors and some that I had been eying but never got before they were discontinued, so win on that! As always there was a sweet note from the lovely Holly and the shadows were packaged nicely in a bubble mailer. If you haven't checked out MOI, you really should. Customer service is great, the products are great and reasonably priced. Shipping can take a bit but that is expected when shipping from Canada to the US, it is always worth the wait though. Each color swatched wonderfully and was pigmented and opaque with very few swipes of my brush. I am yet again very satisfied with a MOI purchase. :)

Love these colors and think that Holly did a great job at choosing which colors to put in my grab bag. I used Pink Pearls and Shimmers and Pearls for a quick look for work yesterday and they were incredibly easy to work with. Love them all!! Stay tuned for my post of the Metal Mania glosses once I get them swatched.

BFTE Fall collection swatches!

One of my favorite indie companies BFTE came out with their Fall Collection and boy is it gorgeous! The colors swatched like butter and seriously had me drooling while doing them. The set consists of 4 full size shadow for $20 and shipping is a flat rate $4. There were only 100 made and the last count I saw said there were about 40 left, so hop on over and snatch yours up ASAP,you won't be disappointed.

The cute little box the shadows came in, they also came with a bag of Teddy Grahams but the honey are my fav and I ate them before taking pics. lol

I love the new lids they decided to go with a few months ago.

Sassafras and Sweet Gum are my favs, but they are all BEYOND gorgeous!

These were so easy to swatch, one swipe and they were perfectly opaque.

If you love beautiful fall colors, fantastic customer service and colors that blend like butter, then you should definitely get this set.

Madd Style Cosmetics Stardust collection

The other day I got the Stardust collection by Madd Style Cosmetics in the mail and almost fell over from the awesomeness when I swatched them! Gorgeous, gorgeous shadows that blend like magical butter, I am in love. The collection is black based shadows with color changing glittery goodness. I found it really hard to capture their greatness in my swatch pics and assure you this collection is worth getting!

Stardust by Neil Gaiman is one of my favorite books and movies so when I saw this collection I had to have it and Mo really did the story justice with this collection. I hope you like this post and I hope you guys check out the collection, you won't be sorry!
